Vincent Van Gogh

In art we have been artists in the style of Vincent Van Gogh. Focusing on using a pencil for  sketching. We used his own art work as a reference and sketched in in our sketch books.

Bee-Bots

Through play Reception have been exploring how Bee-Bots work. They have been learning how to move the Bee-Bots in different ways to better understand the controls.

This week we had, ‘don’t bump my nose’ races to see who could get the closest to, but not hit, the wood pile. Great fun was had by all!

Easter Egg Hunt

The Easter Bunny visited our school on the last Friday of term. We searched for the eggs in our house teams and despite the strange weather, we managed to find all the eggs! The best part though was … eating them!

KS1 Football

A group of Year 1 and 2 children applied the skills they had learned by taking part in the Acle Cluster KS1 Football Tournament.

It was a lovey sunny afternoon and great fun was had by all.

Spring Poems

In outdoor learning the children have made spring poems based on their surroundings at school and performed the poem to their class members.

Emerald Class Maths

As mathematicians year 2 have been working on capacity and investigating measuring different quantities.

Emerald Class Art

As artists we created a self portrait in the style of Roy Lichtenstein. We drew our faces and used colours and dots to copy his style of artwork.

Chinese New Year

We have been learning about Chinese New Year, the year of the Tiger. As artists we have made tiger puppets. We did this by carefully following a set of instructions.
