Reception have been looking at what computers are and how they can be seen all around us. To become more familiar with computers, we have created our own junk model laptops, looked at different inputs and outputs and used some simple drawing apps.

Healthy Science
As scientists, we have been learning about ho to keep ourselves healthy. We learnt that we need a healthy balanced diet and regular exercise to stay healthy. Germs can make us ill so we designed posters to help remind us to practice good hygiene.
In our ‘Circles’ collective worship, we have been discussing these questions:

Saint Telemachus
Reverend Andrew visited to lead a collective worship. He told us about the story of Saint Telemachus and we thought about how it is sometimes difficult but always right to stand up for what we believe in.

KS1 Football
A team of eager KS1 pupils showed off their teamwork and passing and dribbling techniques this week by taking part in our cluster’s KS1 Football event. Everyone thought it was good fun and even though they felt a bit nervous to begin with, all announced trying the different skills was great.
World Book Day
We enjoyed dressing up as our favourite book characters for World Book Day. We took part in different activities and enjoyed sharing stories with our circles groups.
Year 2 have been telling the time
They have been matching digital, analogue and written times.
English Rhyming Words
In English we have been learning about rhyming words. As a class we followed the story Zog by Julia Donaldson and filled in the missing rhyming words to complete the sentences.
