Year 5/6 Residential
What a wonderful three days of residential Year 5 and 6 had at Horstead Centre. We learned to work together as a team to complete some challenges and all support each other to complete some of the more adventurous activities like abseiling and wall climbing. Our teachers said we were brilliant at night time too!
Jubilee Party
The school celebrated the Queen’s 70th Jubilee with a street party lunch. They had an afternoon tea for their lunch and wore their crowns.
Congratulations on your Platinum Jubilee Your Majesty.
A visit to the Town Hall
We were invited by The Mayor of Great Yarmouth to visit the Town Hall to learn how it works and how councils work. We really enjoyed looking around and having a debate in the council chambers. We thought about democracy and our rights to vote and debate. The highlight was having tea and cake in the Mayor’s parlour just like the Queen.
Relationships
In RSHE we are learning about relationships and how everyone is unique and special. Reception children thought about what made them special. Here are some examples of their work.
